An air separator type SEP eliminates air dissolved in water. It should be mounted where is highest temperature of water (behind the boiler or the heat exchanger). The air separator decreases the corrosion in the heating system, the cavitation and flow noise in the pipe sytems. The air separator also protects a pumps against breakdown.

Description:

  • Does not require conservation.
  • Gets rid air from heating water

Construction:

The air separator is made of low-carbon steel and externally painted (it may be made of stainless steel). On the shell (1) are localized two pipe connectors - inlet (2) and outlet (3) connector. Inside of the vessel there are special rings (4) which separates air from water. Separated air, passes through an automatic deaerate valve (5) on the top of vessel . For clean the air separator from pollutions is a pipe connector (6) on the down part, where is connected a blowdown valve.


Priciple of operation:

Water enters by the inlet (2) to inside the vessel. Here is decreasing flow and air bells sit down on the rings (4). Precipitated air goes to top where are eliminating by the deaerate valve (5). Water without air, outflow by the pipe connector (3).
