Pressure regulator RCB - construction
Self-acting pressure regulators type RCB are designed to control set-up pressure in installations. Self-acting pressure regulators are suitable for steam, non inflammable vapors and gases and neutral liquids. Application of this regulator: heating, industrial and power installations. Adjust range of set pressure is depending on the actuator: 0,2-1,6 ; 1-2,8 ; 1- 3,5 or 2,5-7 bar. The regualtor is easy to set by an adjuster at any time. Pressure regulators are capable of operating in temperature range from 0 to +180°C. (with condensation chamber, if necessary)
Description:
- High quality of regulation.
- Does not require conservation.
- requiring no external power source.
Construction:
A valve-plug (3) is balanced (4) for ensuring stable operation at high differential pressures.
The pressure regulator consisting of two units:
- a valve: valve body (1), valve-seat (2), valve-plug (3),
balanced unit (4), valve stem (5);
- an actuator: impulse pipes (6) and (7), actuator discs and diaphragm (8),
spring (9), stem (10), adjusting nut (11), actuator-body (12).
Principle of operation:
Medium flows through the valve chamber A) as indicated by the arrow. Control signal higher pressure pass throught the impulse pipe (7) to the actuator chamber B. Control signal lower pressure pass through the impulse pipe (6) to the actuator chamber C. Here pressure is converting into a positioning force. This force moves the diaphragm (8) according to the force of the spring (9), which is adjustable by the adjusting nut (11). Size of the gap between the valve-seat (2) and the valve-plug (3) is depending on constant difference pressure between chamber B and C. When downstream pressure overcomes the pressure set point on the spring (9), the valve closes proportionally to the changes in pressure, to the moment when the pressure difference between the chamber B and C will be equal to the force on the spring (9). Normally the valve-plug (3) is open.
Installation:
Install the regulator with the actuator suspended downwards. For ensuring good work the regulator should be protect by the filter or the magnetic strainer. Install pipelines horizontally. The direction of medium flow have to correspond with the arrow on the valve body.
